This place is well worth a visit! We spent 2 nights at Gemsbok house with the most beautiful sunsets and stargazing. We did the scenic game drive with Stephan and Johannes, what an amazing experience! The 4km Bokmakierie hiking trail is beautiful and well marked. You can swim and cool down in the reservoir. We saw Eland, Bontebok, Oryx, Zebra, Springbuck, lots of birds and beautiful plants and rocks in the reserve. Thank you for a memorable stay!

We had a truly amazing stay at Drie Kuilen Private Nature Reserve. From the warm welcome by the friendly owners to the breathtaking mountain views and abundant wildlife, everything was perfect. The hot tub was an absolute winner — relaxing in it while overlooking the mountains was simply unforgettable. A peaceful escape in nature, made even better by genuine hospitality. Highly recommended!

This is authentic conservation! Living amongst truly wild roaming indigenous animals was deeply meaningful.
Our own drives and the arranged 4 x4 game drive gave us unprecedented access to animals not accustomed to human interferance. Switching off the engine and quietly observing antelope, birdlife and zebra simply getting on with their own agenda was amazing. The flora is also quite unique to Touws River. I could spend months exploring this magical reserve.
The stars at night are truly impressive.

The house we stayed in was beautifully organised and we were very comfortable.
We will do this again!!

Tranquil, off the technology grid. Star gazing, animal spotting, history exploring. Well worth the freezing temps (indoor fireplace and gas heater) for some connected family time. Close enough to Montagu to do a day visit but also well equipped to stay for the duration of your break. Highly recommend it 👌
