Description

Baden Klub offers a peaceful and exclusive farm-stay experience just 10 kilometres from the charming town of Montagu. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Cogmanskloof mountains, this resort provides a genuine escape from the city, where you can relax and breathe in the fresh Karoo air. The atmosphere is quiet, secure, and family-friendly, making it a beloved retreat for its community.

The resort operates as a members' club, which gives it a unique, close-knit feel. However, non-members are warmly welcomed to book and enjoy the facilities for most of the year. The only exceptions are the peak Easter and December school holidays, which are reserved exclusively for club members. This structure ensures the resort maintains its tranquil atmosphere even during popular times.

For campers, a generous number of spacious sites are available for both caravans and tents. The standout feature is undoubtedly the swimming facilities. A large, cool swimming pool surrounded by grass and trees is perfect for those hot summer days. For the colder months, a naturally heated outdoor mineral pool, with temperatures reaching up to 35°C, provides a wonderfully relaxing and therapeutic experience. This fantastic year-round offering makes Baden Klub a perfect choice for a restorative getaway.

First time visit to Baden, and I will definitely go back. Everybody in the camp was very friendly and welcoming. What stood out with the friendliness, was the safety of the place. Wow!! You could leave your chalet open and leave stuff outside. It was just so peaceful, and the sunrise was amazing from our front porch. We enjoyed our breakfast there to enjoy the morning sun. I will definitely recommend Baden Club. Oh, and please don't follow google, lol. It took us the long route, but it was fun "getting lost" according to us. If you love the nature, it's a must go and experience.

Unfriendly reception. Work on friendly, tolerant people skills. Swimming pool water not hot, but lukewarm. Chlorine water. No healing properties. Impractical built in beds. Bathroom minute. Parking limited. Housing facilities basic. Bedding dirty. Restaurant and neat public toilets. Freshly baked samoosas reasonable. Many rules and regulations. Some a bit extreme.
Hiking trail beautiful view. Bird watching, photography and star gazing opportunities.

We are very disappointed with our week away at Baden Klub Resort.
This was our first visit, and we specifically booked our holiday to relax and enjoy the warm baths during the winter. Unfortunately, the outdoor "warm" pools were only lukewarm and far too cold to enjoy in winter.
The only genuinely warm bath was the Roman Bath, but children are not allowed to use it. When my daughter and her friend went into the Roman Bath simply to warm up after being cold in the outdoor pool, they were immediately chased out. This was very disappointing, especially since there was nowhere else for them to enjoy warm water.
We also found the rules to be extremely strict, to the point where it felt more like staying at an army camp than a relaxing holiday resort.
To experience the warm natural baths we had hoped for, we ended up paying extra to visit Warmwaterberg Spa, where we finally enjoyed the warm water we expected to find at Baden Klub.
Sadly, our experience did not live up to our expectations, and we don't feel that Baden Klub offers good value for guests looking

Quiet and peaceful resort among beautiful mountains. Lovely walks, cold and hot water pools, play area for children and not too far from Montegu. Shops a 10 minute drive away.

Baden was recommended by a friend and I guess liking differs. The sites and the ablution blocks are outdated. Constant struggle with hotwater at the showers. Old fashioned shower curtains with loads of bacteria. Uh!! I could not wait to leave. Box ticked will never return or recommend.
