22 Waterfalls

It's a wonderful place, it has a special relation to the river and the surroundings. Neat ablutions, no white gold rolls, so be prepared what's 2 come. Very nice big lawn for camping games etc, although a levelled section would improve it a lot. There was some flood damage, so be carefull when hiking to the waterfalls as some of the river and trees has washed away. Some of the higher up sites got lost. Great place overalll

Beautiful views from the site which is set next to a stream. The camping site is grassed but sloping. We stayed on 2 sites, one of which was a double. Part of it was flat on dirt ground, but the rest was sloping grass which needed us to wedge our caravan quite a bit. The other pitch was quite small, flat and shaded, but was able to take a trailer with large rooftop tent. There is electricity provided, but no taps, so water needs to be collected from the washing up area at the ablution blocks. There are built-in braai stands on concreted areas next to the stream.
We went as far a the 3rd waterfall. There is a lot of climbing involved to get to the falls over rocks and boulders, ladders and narrow platforms. The falls are beautiful and surrounded by woodland, so a lot cooler than when back at base camp. They are worth the trek as they are worth seeing. There are also plenty of hiking trails to do.
The one downside to our stay was we were bitten to death even though we used insect repellents and there was a lot of flys too. Apart from that it was a very enjoyable stay and the owners are friendly and welcoming.

This campsite is truly beautiful and something different to what we have experienced. The campsite is covered in shade from the trees and kept clean. There are stunning sceneries. The hiking trail is brilliantly marked on your hike up to the waterfalls, the way back you need to keep a close eye on the markings. We cannot wait to go again. It is an amazing experience.

22 Watervalle Campsite is a beautiful and memorable spot. The waterfalls are absolutely stunning, easily the highlight of the whole experience, and the natural surroundings make it a great place to unwind and explore, do the hike, see all the falls. The bathrooms are okay, nothing fancy, but they get the job done. Just be prepared for loads of spiders; they’re part of the environment, but it’s all manageable.

And then there are the "dogs"… sorry, baboons (inside joke), they definitely add some unexpected entertainment to the stay. Overall, it’s a unique campsite with incredible scenery and a real sense of adventure. Worth a visit if you enjoy nature in its raw, lively form.

Awesome campsite! Beautiful shady spots right on the banks of a small stream — super peaceful and relaxing. The last stretch of gravel road is quite rough, so if you’re towing a normal caravan, drive slowly to avoid damage.

The bathrooms could definitely use an upgrade, and it would be great if the shower curtains were replaced with doors. The walking trails along the mountain are absolutely beautiful! There’s so much potential here — adding a swimming pool would make it perfect.

Even so, I’ll definitely camp here again! 🌿⛺️
