We stayed on a newly erected stand that had very high roof over the stand with shade netting sides. Looks out over the corn fields. Very quiet camp, although it is a working farm. But no noise from tractors or laborers at 8am like we experienced in Vredendal.
The main business of Die Ark is to provide long term stay to adults who lost their homes. These ppl stay in their own caravans or tents which have been erected permanently. Cute small gardens surrounding each stand. They form a small community who were eager to help us set up. The whole camp is pet friendly. The long stay campers have their dogs secured on their stands by using netting or fencing. Our dogs had free run, but next time I'll take fencing to keep them contained.
Showers and toilets were good.
There is a large communial kitchen with long kitchen table, pots, psnds, etc that everyone can use.
The very short gravel driveway is well maintained. Drive up to the gate and give them a call. Once the gate is opened proceed onto the farm.

Very pleasant, peaceful surroundings. Owners Bregda and Teubes two very dear persons. Loved the interactions with the resident pets Nando's the beautiful chicken, Flexi the adorable Border Collie and of course Leyla the exquisite German Shepard.

The campsite is nice with lots of grass. The staff were very helpful and accommodating after our tent broke they kindly provided us with other accommodation for the night. Thank you for the kindness that you showed us.

If you are looking for a getaway with old charm feeling, you should visit and stay over! Very friendly hosts. Bregda and Teubes Mostert will make your stay a memorable one. Quiet farm experience. Go for a walk up the mountain. Slippy slide for the kids. You could camp or stay in accommodation.

Maybe not everyone's cup of tea. Maybe too quiet, but I found that calming. Only for small groups, real farm atmosphere with obliging management. Nando the rooster an entertaining character.
