We've been coming to Beaverlac for over 20 years. We recently spent time at Moonrise and Sunrise cottages. The only reason I'm giving the accommodation 2 stars is because it's very cheap. I guess you get what you pay for, its extremely rustic which I dont mind. But personally I would pay slightly more for a place that was well maintained and looked like someone was taking some care of it.

Sadly, Beaverlac has gone down in my estimation. The grounds are shabby and it looks and feels like they are running it into ruin. Most of the private camps are even looking run down too.

I really wish they would educate people about respecting nature and not dictating i.e the signs (that don't work). Rather educate people why they should take care of their surroundings and show them how.

Limit the numbers and maybe put the price up a little to cover the short fall? At the end of the day this place is such a beautiful and precious gem. Please take care of it so it can keep going for more generations to enjoy and learn about nature.

I hate to moan but this place has a special place in my heart and I worry it is being spoiled. The staff are lovely and Lita is a star. :)

Camping grounds are great staff are awesome, view and pools are incredible. However no rules are enforced, kids get drunk, play music and scream at each other, all dogs are free roaming. For all the signs and rules on the website, nothing is actually enforced.

This place is special, the rock pools are amazing and if you time it right it is so quiet and peaceful. We were there on a busy weekend and the campsite was rather full. When everyone left on Sunday morning it was awesome . The amenities are basic and a little rustic but if you have a decent camp setup then you will be sorted. Lots of shady campsites and the little shop has all the extras you might need . If you are going for hiking and the ultimate rock pools experience this place is a win. Lastly its very affordable.

Had a fantastic camp at beaverlac. There where plenty of shade if you are early in the busy season. The dogs absolutely loved the freedom and everyone seems to be responsible dog owners and we did not have any issues. It is nice for a quick getaway but will be challenging for longer stays as there is no electricity. The bathrooms where kept semi clean but it did get a bit messy later in the evenings at shower time and you always need to remember your toilet paper. The farm is fantastic and there are a number of places where you can swim in the river. It is a bit of a walk especially on a very hot day but it is well worth it to cool down. There is water available in the camp. Definitely a place to visit if you camp with your dogs and we will be back.

a very nice camping site to visit. Its off grid, no power no cellphone signal. Very beautiful working farm area. Hiking routs with beautiful swimming spots in the river. Water very cold and refreshing. Nice camp sites, many in shaded areas. a shop is available where things can be bought that you forgot. Some ablutions has hot water some cold water only. a must visit when in the area.
