Nuwerust Rest Camp

Quite pleasant but far out from the other resorts and the start of the hikes at Sanddrif. The campsite is very nice with plenty of shade and a splash pool. Next time I would ask for a site with grass & shade as a priority. Some sites are sandy which isn't great. I would also try to get closer to the hikes.

We received a warm welcome from Louise, who was very helpful throughout our stay. We stayed in Oom Willem Se Huis. The chalet was well equipped and conveniently close to activities in the area, which made our trip enjoyable.

That said, I would suggest requesting photos of the inside before booking, as we were a bit disappointed. The curtains were dirty, and overall the place could benefit from a more thorough deep clean.

Nonetheless, we did enjoy our stay and appreciated the location.

We had the most unforgettable stay at Nuwerus Farm in the Cederberge! The scenery were absolutely breathtaking - with majestic mountain formations and wide-open views that left us in awe every single day. The lodges were beautiful, well kept an offers the perfect setting to enjoy a relaxed breakfast while soaking in natures beauty.
What truely made our stay so special was the warm hospitality of Sakkie and Louise at Nuwerus Farm. We came their as strangers and left as friends! They were welcoming and kind, and made us completely at home from the moment we arrrived.
Exploring the Tankwa Karoo and the Cederberg region was an experiance of a lifetime! A combination of rugged landscapes, peace and pure natural beauty. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already planning our return.

The stay was amazing. The landscape there is breathtaking and stonecottage was super cozy, especially once your get a fire going. Louise was a highlight, she was incredibly helpful for every step of our journey.
