Citrus Creek Chalets & Camping

The campsite, ablutions and pool were kept spotlessly clean and tidy. The owners were fantastic and accommodating. The horse ride was magical and caters for experienced and inexperienced riders. We will definitely be back.

Booked through booking.com. Needed to change the dates. Canceled the booking and took my entire R11 000 after full amount was paid.

Worst service/booking scam.

Don't recommend at all. Please stay away or risk you holiday savings.

Probably the worst accommodation I've ever been to.
The actual farm itself is pretty but the chalet was terrible!
No hot water the night we got there,it was -2 degrees and the gas heater had no gas cylinder in it,it's an extra fee for it which I find is stingy and un acceptable .we were so freezing cold so we bought a small heater and kept it on for 3 days.
No tea, coffee or sugar, soap or shower gel available like every other self catering accommodation that I've been to., this place wasn't even a cheap place to stay at.
we only had a diluted handy Andy bottle to use as hand soap .
Cockroaches ... mould... dirty ...I got athlete's foot infection from this place.
We were so happy when we left.

This chalet accomodation had meagre and basic facilities. Not really well maintained with very old finishes, especially the windows that don't close properly in an already icy place in winter time. We were told that we had to rent a gas cylinder from reception for the gas heater to work. How unaccomodating to not cater for your guest's warmth in the dead of winter and charge them for a basic need. It was freezing, nights at 4°C! Bathroom was full of mould and grubby. Found roaches in my bed, the bathroom and the second bedroom as well.
1 ply loo paper. Tiniest old towels provided. Bathtub was small, old and narrow. The shower was sparse sprays of water, making bath time agonosing especially in winter. No basics offered in kitchen like salt, pepper, sugar, tea nor coffee. Water had not been heated for our arrival and so at 8pm we had to call for help and waited 20 min for maintenance to arrive, that then took another half hour to figure how to sort our issue out, interrupting our dinner time leaving us with cold dinner in an already freezing environment. There was 1 sink in the kitchen making washing up a challenge. No soap provided either. Would not recommend this chalet accomodation.

We camped here and thoroughly enjoyed the campsite and the owners of the farm's company. The farm animals roamed freely which excited our toddler to no end. The bathrooms were clean and the grass was lovely and soft.
