We spent 3 nights camping at this wonderful relaxing guest farm. From arrive to check out you cannot help but slow down and smell the roses. Relaxation is the key word. The private ablutions are well maintained, clean and wonderfully convenient. The built-in braai, scullery and food preparation area is pleasantly large where even larger groups can gather without tripping over each other. The only critique we had was that the taps over the zinc are install a little low making it difficult to fill a coffee pot of water bottle for instance. Fire wood & ice are available to be purchased at reception and will be delivered to your site if necessary. Prices are reasonable. The "Swemgat" is idyllic and absolutely worth the hike if you are not in a vehicle that you feel comfortable fording a small stream crossing with. Park outside the bush camp area and walk the rest of the way in this case.

All-in-all, we thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at Kaleo and it is definitely on our list of sites to return to. We feel you can only return from Kaleo feeling grateful and reminded of how peaceful life in our great province can actually be.

We spent a wonderful, peaceful winter long weekend at Kaleo! While the cottages aren’t perfect in every way, they certainly aren’t lacking! They were super comfy, very spacious, have stunning views and lots of all the little things you need (thanks for the milk & rusks too 😊). Our kids enjoyed the wonderful playground (so beautifully thought out), walking up and down between the cottages (our family rented a few) and all the nearby wildlife and sheep. Would happily come again and again

Stunning place, great for family or couples getaway.
Great for functions. The wedding venue and chapel are georgious. Self-catering Chalets for guests, also option of camp site with ablution facilities.
Private company offers glamping. Huge dam a swim hole, lots of space for walks, kids to roam. Definitely beautiful place to stay and enjoy the scenery, birds and nature.

A gem hidden away in the Kouebokkeveld. I stayed in one of the flatlets, but I know there are more amenities in the larger, more luxurious chalets. The flatlet was tiny, but very comfortable, and more than adequate for a couple. 4 stars as there was no hotplate or cutting board. If you are into peace and quiet, this is definitely a place to visit. It had WiFi and you have to drive about 7kms on a fairly well maintained dust road to get there.

A beautiful experience camping. Loved the campsites and private ablution and kitchen area. Lots of shade from the trees made it very pleasant. The swemgat is exquisite, just wish it was closer to the campsites.
