Our stay at Olive Cottage, Fraaigelegen Farm in April 2025 was fabulous. The mountains and scenery were amazingly beautiful. We took our elderly parents, and our 2 small dogs. Shane, their manager was very helpful and friendly. I swam in the dam, super clean. Just a short walk from Olive Cottage. We also took rides on our mountain bikes. If you want formal mtbike trails, you'd need to drive in to Tulbagh and start routes from there, 20mins or so away from the farm.

The stay was exactly what we were looking for to have a great away from the city. The open space and freedom was incredible for our dog who loved every moment of her farm life. Shane is an incredible host who went above and beyond in ensuring our comfort on an unbelievably wet and cold weekend

Small caravan part situated in the most stunning views. Working olive farm. Road there 3km of bad gravel road but don't hurry and you will make it. Don't take the Porsche but most vehicles will make it. Very hospitable host.

To anyone considering visiting Fraaigelegen farm, I can confidently say this place is magnificent. I came to camp, and there is a small field for campers, but for those looking to stay in the cottages, they look beautiful to stay in.

As soon as I arrived I was greeted by Shane's mother, who extended such amazing hospitality and kindness. The views set this place apart, as well as the plentiful birdlife, and hot showers - they make a massive difference in the cold mountains! The ablutions are very clean, with two showers available, bathrooms, and two taps. Additionally, outside, there is a under-cover dishwashing area.

I highly recommend Fraaigelegen farm, and I hope if you are considering coming here, you do!

This place - just wow! Beautifully tucked between the mountains and vineyards, this beautiful cottage is the peace you need in your life! Well priced. Neat and clean - and the hosts/owners really goes the extra mile. The administration was flawless and the extra goodies they leave at the cottage is really cool. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need to have a great self catering experience. The farm is well situated - near restaurants, wine farms and shops - but also far enough for complete peace. Can't wait to visit this farm again.
