A limited number of individual campsites are thoughtfully equipped to ensure a self-sufficient stay, each featuring its own electrical hook-up, fresh water tap, and private braai facility. These sites are serviced by a small and spotlessly maintained ablution block with showers and toilets. A charming "Honesty Shack" on-site provides essentials like firewood and ice, operating on a basis of trust that reflects the mature atmosphere of the lodge.

Stunning campsite with beautiful views. The bathrooms are impeccable and the sites are very well maintained. The campsite pool was a huge help when camping in the full summer heat. The host is very kind and caring. The honestly bar was amazing, fully stocked with ice, wood, charcoal and other lovely bits you might need. I would highly recommend giving them a visit.

A camping and lodge accommodation next to the Berg river. The ablution facilities are very clean, with good hot water pressure but need some maintenance.
The camping sites are neat with powerpoints and bins, but only water taps at some stands. The stands are not level.
The swimming pool was clean and with good shade.
The river is not suitable for swimming and difficult to fish.

Perfect camping getaway!

Large grass areas with shade available and well maintained, sprayers were on constantly. The bathroom facilities are spotless and of a high standard. The owner is very welcoming, and the 2 dogs are extremely friendly and playful. The pool is covered under a roof with areas of sunlight coming through.

The bonus was to listen to the fish eagles in the evening. We will be back...

We stayed at the Fish Eagle river lodge for 3 nights. What a beautiful, peaceful atmosphere. Stunning views of nature. It is centrally located which allows easy access to the CBD.
We were welcomed by Lee, with a refreshments and kindness. The owner of the place even took time to introduce himself and made us feel very welcome.
Overall it was an amazing experience and we would definitely return to this gem.
