This place truly left us speechless. The beauty, remoteness and silence made it feel like we were on another planet - a reminder of the incredible places we have to explore in South Africa!

We were warmly welcomed on arrival, and Manwa’s hospitality and genuine heart for people and nature conservation really stood out.

The campsite is simple but well equipped: a small uncovered kitchen counter with a sink, an indoor bathroom with toilet, basin and bath, plus an outdoor shower. Despite being basic, it exceeded our expectations in terms of space, cleanliness and thoughtful touches like dishwashing liquid, hand wash soap and firewood provided.

The trails are mostly jeep track, great for mountain biking, trail running or walking. The scenery is stunning and wildlife sightings are a real highlight - we spotted tortoises, giraffe, wildebeest and zebras.

What an experience.
Arriving quite late in the evening, the host was extremely friendly and happy to receive us. On request he was willing to arrange for us a late supper. It was a burger and chips, that will compete with many master chefs. Went on a lovely game drive in the morning.

This is not much of a game lodge as there were very few animals there. We met a couple who had been ten years ago and saw many animals. My feeling is that the people who bought this place have not invested in it and they are trying to do lots on the cheap. The manager and game driver was great but this place needs more investment in the animals to be a real game reserve. Food options are limited too for dinner. The location is however beautiful so if you aren't bothered about seeing many animals I would recommend. The game drive at £40 is too expensive as they only seem to have ostrich, wildebeest and different types of buck

Wonderful, child-friendly lodge with simple yet very clean and tastefully designed chalets that feature both an outdoor braai and a fireplace to heat the chalet (4 bags of fire wood as well as fire starters were provided upon arrival). The staff and owners were very welcoming and helpful, making us feel as part of the family - special thanks to Elijah who pointed out game, was always at hand to assist as well as cooking us delicious dinner. Jan, the owner, treated us to a beautiful game drive including a picnic with a view over the waterhole. We got caught in the rain and it made the experience even better. Worth staying two nights or more to really unwind, enjoy the nature and see some game.
