Description

For the discerning adventurer seeking an exclusive and intimate safari experience, African Game Lodge beckons. Nestled deep in the heart of the African wilderness, this is not a sprawling resort, but an enchanting retreat designed for a profound connection with nature. Here, you are completely immersed in the rich tapestry of African wildlife, with unparalleled opportunities to witness majestic creatures like lions, elephants, and giraffes in their pristine, natural habitat. The entire experience is curated to be personal, private, and utterly unforgettable.

The lodge has recently added a truly unique and exclusive camping option, designed specifically for small, self-sufficient groups of friends and family. This is not a public campsite; it is a single, secluded bush-caravan site reserved for one group at a time, ensuring absolute privacy. This special spot is tailored for the serious outdoor enthusiast, welcoming a maximum of three rugged bush caravans or off-road trailers. It offers the perfect, private base camp for a group seeking a genuine and uninterrupted wilderness getaway. (Please note that standard caravans and tents are not accommodated).

While the setting is wild and remote, the private facilities are a masterful blend of rustic charm and thoughtful luxury. A beautifully shaded area provides a comfortable living space, while a magnificent, dedicated bathroom offers the choice of a relaxing bath or the unforgettable experience of a true, open-air bush shower. The site is equipped with environmentally friendly 12-volt lights, a practical dishwashing area, and both a small boma for social campfires and a separate fireplace for cooking. It is this perfect combination of exclusivity, rustic luxury, and an authentic safari environment that makes this a truly exceptional adventure.

We are so grateful to have found this place—it became one of the highlights of our entire trip. The whole team put their heart into making sure our experience was magical and unforgettable. Every activity we did felt unique and special, but we have to give a special mention to their Game Drive. It was the perfect way to soak in their amazing location. Sure, we didn't see loads of animals, but honestly, the experience itself was so incredible that it didn't matter—it was still one of the best things we did. Thank you to the whole team!

Beautiful location, lodges are great. The service is absolutely unmatched though, Monwabisi is such a helpful and positive character. Wow! We will definitely be coming back. Can only recommend!

This place truly left us speechless. The beauty, remoteness and silence made it feel like we were on another planet - a reminder of the incredible places we have to explore in South Africa!

We were warmly welcomed on arrival, and Manwa’s hospitality and genuine heart for people and nature conservation really stood out.

The campsite is simple but well equipped: a small uncovered kitchen counter with a sink, an indoor bathroom with toilet, basin and bath, plus an outdoor shower. Despite being basic, it exceeded our expectations in terms of space, cleanliness and thoughtful touches like dishwashing liquid, hand wash soap and firewood provided.

The trails are mostly jeep track, great for mountain biking, trail running or walking. The scenery is stunning and wildlife sightings are a real highlight - we spotted tortoises, giraffe, wildebeest and zebras.

What an experience.
Arriving quite late in the evening, the host was extremely friendly and happy to receive us. On request he was willing to arrange for us a late supper. It was a burger and chips, that will compete with many master chefs. Went on a lovely game drive in the morning.
