Description

Seekoeigat Caravan Park is a privately owned retreat that offers a classic riverside camping experience. Its name, meaning "Hippo Hole," hints at the wild, natural character of this tranquil getaway, situated on the lush banks of the Olifants River. Conveniently located just off the N11, it provides a peaceful and accessible escape for those looking to swap city noise for the gentle sounds of the bushveld.

The park offers a generous selection of campsites, with the most sought-after stands located right on the riverfront, offering beautiful, uninterrupted views and easy access for fishing. These popular sites are set on seasonal grass and offer varying degrees of shade from the mature trees. All stands are well-equipped with their own power point and braai facility, and water points are conveniently situated on or near each site, ensuring a comfortable and practical setup.

Life at Seekoeigat naturally revolves around the river. It is a well-known and beloved destination for anglers, who spend peaceful hours casting a line into the water. The rich riverine bush also makes it a paradise for birdwatchers. The park is supported by clean communal ablution blocks with reliable hot water and a dedicated scullery for washing dishes, making it the perfect choice for a comfortable and authentic nature escape.
