Arbeidsrus Kothuis en Kamp is set on a working sheep farm just outside Mossel Bay, approximately 6 km from the beaches of Boggomsbaai. This tranquil farm retreat offers an authentic countryside camping experience, ideal for guests seeking peace, open spaces, and a quiet natural environment. The setting is defined by fresh air, farm views, and the sounds of nature, with abundant birdlife and occasional small wildlife on the property.
The campsite consists of five spacious, grassed camping stands. The sites are suitable for tents, trailers, and caravans. A modern ablution block is located close to the campsites and offers separate male and female facilities with hot showers.
Each campsite is approximately 100 m² in size and accommodates a maximum of six guests and one vehicle. Every stand is equipped with:
• A private 220V power point
• A tap with borehole water for general use
• A shared dishwashing basin
• A refuse bin
• A mobile braai (barbecue)
The emphasis at Arbeidsrus is on relaxed, low-impact farm camping, where guests can enjoy space, quiet, and simple comforts without crowds or noise.
In addition to the campsites, there is a small wooden cabin on the property for guests who prefer a roof over their heads, but all guests share the same clean, well-maintained ablution facilities.
There is no Wi-Fi, by design, allowing guests to disconnect and unwind. Mobile reception is available, although it may be limited in places. The gravel farm road leading to the property is slightly uneven but accessible to all standard vehicles.
Guests are welcome to explore the farm on foot or by bicycle, relax at their campsite, or venture out to the nearby coastline for beach visits. Mossel Bay and the surrounding area offer a range of restaurants, coffee shops, and local attractions within easy driving distance.
Arbeidsrus Kothuis en Kamp is best suited to campers who value tranquillity, nature, and an authentic farm stay close to the sea.
