Description

Come and enjoy your getaway from the city at Klipspruit River Resort, situated on the banks of the beautifull Vaal River. In just 2 hours and 20 minutes from Gauteng, you can camp, stay in your caravan or book a chalet or cabin. Here you can relax and unwind with amazing sunsets over the majestic river.

If you like to combine your stay with some activities, we've got something for everyone. Except for bird watching, kayaking and hiking, this is one of the best fishing spots around. We are equipped with more than enough space for your children to play with swimming pools, putt-putt and waterslides among others.

Our caravan park is situated among the trees close to the river front. Each campsite is equipped with electricity. A braai is available for each stand.

Ablution facilities have showers and are in close walking distance from the caravan park.
Some stands are situated directly on the riverfront with the rest allocated 30-70 meters from the river front.

Each stand allows 4 guests to stay and one vehicle per stand. An extra vehicle will be allowed per stand at an additional fee per night.

We have recently allocated our bush camp which is situated between the bushveld trees with its own ablution facilities. This one is for the more adventurous campers and also have a few stands on the river front.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. They were accommodating to our needs.
The staff was visible during the day, ready to assist if we encountered challenges. There is also a bar that we could watch the rugby game.

Place is so nice and clean, very well maintained. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Thanks to Stephanie for making us feel so welcome from time of arrival until we left.

Joh! What a nice weekend! Relaxing close to the water, with the neatest cottages ive ever stayed in. Plenty activities for the kids to stay entertained, This will be my place to go. Also the kiosk available for take aways if mammas not in the mood for cooking.very friendly hosts!!!

Called them on Friday 6 March 2026 @ 15H43 with no answer. Then I whats app them @ 15H47 and @ 15H48 they called me. I ask about a room which the booking site says is available but the informed me that the are close for the whole weekend due to heavy rain on the road. The read my message on Saturday 7 March 2026 @09H24 and reply that they are closed for the weekend for a private function. So I was shocked with the two different stories. Was excited to go but I never got the change and I will never go even I get a free stay, because off then i missed a very important meeting.

The resort was opened for our family, we were the only people to make a reservation and the staff had no issues to open the kiosk or the bar for us as we needed!
The slides were great, the swimming pool was clean and what an awesome spot for fishing!
Thank you to the lady who specially made us food.
