An absolute gem! The scenery is impeccable — lush, peaceful, and perfectly set along the river. The staff are incredible and always helpful, with Jolandie standing out for her efficiency and kindness — she sorts things out quickly and makes everything run smoothly.

The bathrooms are spotless and well maintained, which makes a big difference when camping. It can get a bit busy when busloads of school groups arrive, but it’s still very tolerable if you’re camping, as the campsites are nicely distanced from the cabins. Overall, a beautiful and well-run spot that’s easy to recommend!

We got a luxury en-suite safari tent last minute. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and got us booked in straight away. The tent itself was fine for us staying one night. It was clean and the beds were comfortable and fitted with electric blankets, which was a nice addition, even though we didn't use it.

Our kids enjoyed the outdoor heated pool and running around the grounds. We had a nice view of the river too.

The grounds caretaker was very friendly and kind. He helped us get our clothes washed and dried the same night as we needed to head off the next morning. Great service altogether.

What a lovely location on the Sabie River to do daily excursions to all nearby outings. Great for family bookings, Ablution blocks very neat, friendly staff, and well maintained camp!!! We love it so much that we stayed over 2 months. Became become family!! Thank you Raymond, co owner for everything!!!!! Sabie River Camp will definitely see us again!!!!

Stunning and well maintained. The birdlife is insane! Shaded campsite on grass and good views. Lovely ablutions with hot water. Lots of waterfalls to visit. Just be aware that roads are atrocious!! Wood was provided at a small fee.

This was my second time camping at Sabie River Camp, and once again, it didn’t disappoint! I stayed for 4 nights in the 4-sleeper camping spot and truly enjoyed the peaceful setting and beautiful surroundings. The campsite is well-kept, and there are plenty of nearby activities — from scenic drives to waterfalls and hiking — perfect for nature lovers.

One small thing to keep in mind: the self-service kitchen doesn’t come with cooking utensils or cutlery, so you’ll need to bring your own. Aside from that minor inconvenience, everything else was great.

The staff are friendly, the facilities are clean, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back again!
