Description

Hazy Park Lodge offers the perfect home base for exploring the Mpumalanga Lowveld, combining a convenient location with the peaceful atmosphere of a large country estate. Situated on a 40-hectare property just four kilometres from Hazyview, the lodge provides a secure and tranquil environment to return to after a day of adventure. Its strategic position makes it an ideal choice for visitors heading to the Kruger National Park or touring the iconic Panorama Route.

The lodge offers both camping and chalet accommodation, catering to different preferences. The intimate caravan park features a selection of spacious campsites set within the beautiful, park-like grounds. These sites provide a comfortable and scenic spot to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. For those who prefer a solid roof, a number of well-equipped, self-catering chalets are also available, making it a great option for mixed family groups.

Beyond being a great basecamp, the lodge itself is a relaxing destination. The swimming pool area, complete with two trampolines, is a guaranteed hit with children, providing hours of family fun. For a quieter moment, you can try your hand at fishing in the on-site dam. A real highlight is the one-kilometre walking trail that meanders through the bush, leading you to a magnificent viewpoint over the river and Hazyview town.

Thanks for a great stay. Everything was to our satisfaction. Beds were super comfortable and the linen was beautifully white, clean and fresh. Kitchen well stocked with crockery. Overall great value for money. Perhaps just a suggestion would be to put out soft cushions for the patio chairs. We'll be back again.

**Excellent Value for Money! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐**

Kanaan Guest House offers excellent value for money. The accommodation is comfortable, clean, and welcoming, with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The service is friendly and professional, and the overall experience is far better than what you would expect for the price.

The rooms are well maintained, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the staff go out of their way to make guests feel at home. If you’re looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay without compromising on quality, I would definitely recommend Kanaan Guest House.

**Great place, great service, and truly worth the money! Highly recommended.**

We were informed prior to booking that the property was undergoing renovations. The accommodation itself is quite old, with dated furniture, giving it an “Ouma se Huis” feel, which we were prepared for given the highly affordable price.

The pool area is very well maintained and impressive, with trampolines available. The yard is beautiful, filled with trees and mangoes that guests are able to pick themselves. As expected in such a natural setting, there are insects and frogs, which is manageable.

There is a wonderful hiking trail leading to an impressive waterfall with beautiful views. While there is still considerable work to be done, once renovations are complete this has the potential to be a very attractive destination.

The property is conveniently located less than 5 km from local malls and other activities, including the Phabeni Gate to the Kruger National Park. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
