Only good thing about Lush Horizins is the staff, especially the manager Chantel who goes above and beyond which made the visit worth it in the end. The area around the lodge is absolutely beautiful BUT l highly recommend a 2x4 bakkie / truck or a 4x4 vehicle. Small vehicles are not recommended for the roads getting there especially in the rainy season.

The experience of this hotel is very good. We spent two unforgettable nights here. The manager arranged rooms close to each other for us. The bedding in the room and the towels in the bathroom are all new. The most important thing is that there is a smart toilet in the bathroom. The breakfast is also a British breakfast. During the BBQ in the evening, the manager sent everyone fruits and salads, arranged a party in the evening, and specially arranged security patrols.

The place itself has a nice vision. It’s easy to get in and the host is really responsive. She gave us clear instructions and even helped us to get there smoothly. The space is as expected and so were the pictures they posted. The place could really use some maintenance cos everything is old and it needs reviving. There were spiders in our rooms, unclean utensils, and the facilities like bathroom (esp bathtub) are not friendly to disabled people. Their cleanliness is very questionable as noticeable on their toilets and floors. They wrote things on the site that were not there like oil, salt etc. most of the things I had to specifically request. Their activities seem good but they need to be updated like the fishing rods were not working etc.Oh the roads going there need a bakkie atleast cos it’s almost 45 minutes worth of grovel road with mud, mountain rocks and large puddles without clear signs. A bakkie is more suitable.

This facility is a scam. Once you pay for the booking they will call you, telling you about the terrible road conditions and the inaccessibility of the facility, and encouraging you to cancel, with the promise of a refund, even though it is clearly stated that payments are non refundable. Once you've canceled and start quizzing them about a refund, they will block your number. The response below that they refunded me is a blue lie. Can they please send proof of a refund?
