The undisputed centerpiece of the park is its magnificent natural water feature. A beautiful waterfall cascades over a rocky ledge, tumbling into a breathtaking rock pool below. What a stunning place to hike! The forest after the rain was magical – lush, peaceful and full of that fresh earthy smell. The trail is well maintained and clearly marked, so it’s easy to follow and perfect for a relaxed but rewarding hike. I had a fantastic time and will definitely be back.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Nothing short of spectacular! This is our new family getaway spot - cant express enough how much fun the kids had! Supppppeeerrrrrrr clean, well kept you see how the staff are continuously walking around and cleaning the resort. Roy and his Wife are such friendly hosts. They went out of their way to show their hospitality!!! Love Love Love this place!

What was meant to be a wonderful day spent hiking and braaing with family ended in absolute tragedy. A young man lost his life while trying to save his girlfriend after she slipped into a rock pool.

Sadly, this is not the first time such an incident has occurred at this location.

While it is understandable that visitors should avoid the water if they cannot swim and that warning signage exists to protect the property owner, this cannot be the only measure in place. Considering that an entrance fee is charged, there should be reasonable safety precautions provided.

There were no lifeguards, no emergency response services, no landlines available and there is no cellphone signal in the area. In a life-or-death situation, there was simply no way to get help in time.

When a tragedy has already occurred before, stronger preventative measures should be implemented to avoid repeating the same devastating outcome.

Paradise in close proximity to great restaurants and other amenities. We had a spectacular time walking the trails past many Anglo-Boer War forts and outposts followed by a refreshing swim in the rock pool! Great for kids and adults, and very well priced! Will definitely be back!
