Description
Ilanga Resort & Caravan Park offers a classic and wonderfully peaceful seaside escape on the beautiful KZN South Coast, with direct access to the beach at Banana Beach. This is not a bustling, high-energy family resort, but rather a tranquil haven that is particularly popular with visitors who appreciate a quieter, more traditional coastal holiday. It is a place where the primary soundtrack is the gentle rhythm of the Indian Ocean, providing the perfect setting for a truly restorative getaway.
The resort provides a selection of level campsites, offering a mix of grass and solid ground, with some stands enjoying welcome shade while others are more open to the sun. To help maintain the grassed areas, campers are encouraged to use a net-style groundsheet. Each site is equipped with a 15-amp power point (it’s a good idea to bring an extension cord of at least 15 metres), and features its own dedicated braai facility, perfect for an evening cook-up.
The camping experience is supported by clean and well-maintained communal ablution blocks, which provide reliable hot water. Life at Ilanga is about embracing the simple pleasures of the coast. Days are spent with long walks along the beach, fishing from the shore, or simply relaxing at your campsite with a good book while enjoying the uninterrupted ocean views.
