Marlon caravan park is a gem on the south coast. Level grassed sites, the ablutions were always spotless and cleaned regularly. The owners are awesome and make their customers feel very welcome. We'll definitely return.

The mosquitoes carried my wife and I away in the newly formed MOSQUITO CARRIER SQUADRON.

While I was trying to kill 3 mozzies on my left hand with my right hand poised to strike this daring trio, there was another 3 kamikaze pilots attacking the index finger on my righthand. THEY WERE TERRIBLE!!!

So while I didn't stay in the hotel side of things, I spent a good deal of time here.

The camping grounds are well taken car of, the owner is absolutely wonderful, the people are welcoming and full of good times. The wild life at the resort is just amazing, all sorts of birds, monkeys, frogs, crabs and other creatures.

The river that flows past is beautiful in every state, as it changes on a daily basis bringing in new and different views.

It is an absolutely wonderful location with the sound of the ocean in the background, which you can hear from anywhere on the property.

It's within walking distance of the ocean as well which is just incredible for morning or sunset walks and sundowners at orcas.

The pool and pool area is well taken cared of, and always a beautiful temperature on a hot sunny day.

The food at the shack and the service is just amazing. The vibes with the fairly lights and music are incredible.

While I forgot to take photos of the kiddies area, there is a trampoline and some kiddie play equipment near the pool.

It is well worth the visit and cannot wait to come back.

We stayed at Marlon for a month, they give special 1 month rates R2500 per month. The owner, Chris is very helpful always greeting and chatting making sure we all happy. The ablution block was 1 of the best we have seen so far. Enjoyed many bubble baths there. They also a short walk down the road to the beach. On Friday nights Chris opens his bar/restaurant from 4pm onwards. He has a set menu to choose from. Very homely, friendly atmosphere and you get to meet all the other campers there. We were sad to leave such a wonderful campsite. Over the weekend we even had our friends from St Michael's come Brazil onlong side their river.
