The Palms Voetplaat Park

I am rather disappointed with our latest visit. We have been going here for about 4 years now on our yearly family holiday and the last 2 visits have been disappointing.

The cabanas are very neglected and the kids play area is falling apart. The cabanas are not equipped with the basics like a dish cloth or wash cloth. We had to go buy one. The stove hardly worked and we had minimal cook wear.

This is so unfortunate because the area it is in is lovely and the beach is amazing, ideal for my little boy to enjoy the tidal pool.
The little convenience store has also lost its little charm and we ended up driving to portshepston for things.

Sad that we will have to start looking elsewhere for our next holiday.

They were so fast with response when we booked, but now that I’m complaining and asking for money back as we had to go stay at a different hotel because we couldn’t bath our baby and the place was so dirty, they are not responding to any of my messages!

The ultimate family getaway for five - Pure magic at The Palms Voetplaatpark!

We just left with some very sad faces in the backseat but school and work duties call. We have already made our November booking, bringing along more family members.

As a family of five, finding a holiday spot that truly caters to everyone's needs—from parents seeking relaxation to kids craving adventure—is a rare gem. The Palms once again exceeded our expectations in every possible way, delivering a vacation that was pure magic from start to finish.

The new owners are also in the process of completely renovating the units one by one to ensure no disruption is caused during your stay - we took a sneak peak in both the new chalets and cabana that was redone and let us tell you BIG THINGS ARE COMING!!! We are sooo excited 😊

We definitely will be back again and again.

What an amazing place, service is excellent, everyone so friendly & helpful,,, they listen to what one needs assistance with, very very caring. I highly recommend this resort for all ages, a good place to rest drink in the indigenous surroundings, wake up with the birds, and hear the music of the Ocean. A few steps out the gate, and you're on the beach... Amazing swimming pool, & what we love as an elderly couple, we have our own kitchen & ablution block...this certainly is home from home.

This is our go to place for a quick get away.

To everyone reading this ... Let it be clear if you are wanting a 5 star Ritz hotel then this is not your place however if you are looking for a home away from home vibe that caters to your needs then so be it.

The chalets are basic but have everything, kitchen has a stove, microwave, kettle. Crockery and cutlery.

The rooms are kitted out with needing and pillows, extra bedding in the cupboards.

There is DStv with a basic package.

Braai areas just outside your door, lovely play area, large clean swimming pool and the beach is a stone throw away.

Security does a drive though each evening.

Again if you are looking for glam and glits don't run them down as this is not what they are offering, but if you want a family getaway that has the beach on your doorstep that does not cost the earth and allows you to relax and offers all you need for a night or two away then look no further.

We definitely will be back again and again.
