Bergkoninkryk Guest Farm

We had a lovely stay at Bergkoninkryk Guest Farm. The setting is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by peaceful bushveld and natural scenery that makes you feel relaxed the moment you arrive.

The accommodation was spacious, with a large open-plan living area, comfortable couches, a kitchen, and a serving counter with bar stools. The en suite bathroom had a good shower.

Everything was nice and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the hot water was properly hot, which was especially appreciated because we stayed during a very cold weekend in the area.

Some of the appliances are quite old. The microwave was a National brand, which I had not seen in about 40 years, but it still worked perfectly. There is something charming about a place that takes care of things and keeps them working.

The people were friendly, the rates were extremely affordable, and the whole experience was pleasant and relaxing. If I ever need to visit this area again, I would happily stay here.

We spent a wonderful family weekend celebrating a birthday at Bergkoninkryk Guest Farm. It’s an ideal venue for functions and special occasions. We hired the Lapa for the weekend, which includes a fully equipped kitchen as well as tables and chairs—making it very convenient for hosting.

The accommodation is comfortable and located close to the Lapa area and the swimming pool, which added to the ease of the weekend. Although there was an unfortunate security incident beyond the owners’ control, it did not take away from our overall experience.

I would highly recommend this venue for a memorable weekend with friends or family.

Just visited Bergkoningkryk just outside Modimolle. What an amazing place and a beautiful find. Went to look for a venue for smaller functions and the venue can easily host events or special functions for upto 60 guests. So if you looking for a venue for an Intimate wedding or a break away company conference or for a special celebration Bergkoningkryk is most definitely a venue to consider. The venue it self is beatifull, very well looked after and the owners very much hand on and extremely friendly. With the owners so hand on you can't help but feel that you will be very well looked after to have an amazing stay or function in literally a piece of mountain kingdom and heaven "Bergkoningkryk".

Fantastic place. Owners very friendly and helpful. Neat acomodation. Beautiful nature with nice walking trails. Lots of bird life.

We had a fantastic weekend getaway at Bergkoninkryk . Joop and Sulita are wonderful hosts . My son enjoyed some fishing and the hiking trail is definately a must do , with beautiful scenery. The chalets are well equiped with everything you could need. We will definately return.
