The caravan park features an intimate selection of campsites, each thoughtfully named after indigenous trees such as Raasblaar and Sekelbos. Unlike traditional open-field camping, these sites are meticulously prepared with paved surfaces to ensure a level and clean base for your caravan or trailer. For added comfort during the warm sun-drenched days, each stand is equipped with a large shade net awning. To ensure a seamless stay, every site is provided with a 16-amp electrical connection and its own portable braai. The emphasis here is on self-contained convenience, allowing guests to enjoy the natural surroundings without sacrificing basic modern comforts.

One of the standout features of this resort is the provision of private facilities for every stand. Just visited Bergkoningkryk just outside Modimolle. What an amazing place and a beautiful find. Went to look for a venue for smaller functions and the venue can easily host events or special functions for upto 60 guests. So if you looking for a venue for an Intimate wedding or a break away company conference or for a special celebration Bergkoningkryk is most definitely a venue to consider. The venue it self is beatifull, very well looked after and the owners very much hand on and extremely friendly. With the owners so hand on you can't help but feel that you will be very well looked after to have an amazing stay or function in literally a piece of mountain kingdom and heaven "Bergkoningkryk".

We had a fantastic weekend getaway at Bergkoninkryk . Joop and Sulita are wonderful hosts . My son enjoyed some fishing and the hiking trail is definately a must do , with beautiful scenery. The chalets are well equiped with everything you could need. We will definately return.

On Saturday 20th September 2025 a friend and I visited Bergkoninryk.
We were received by Joop in such a heart warming and friendly manner.
He explained the route and after a while we started our walk.
Along the way he checked in with us to see whether we were ok.
The route was very well marked and beautiful.
We had a stunning time on the mountain.
Afterwards we rested in the beautiful picnic area. The pool was clean and although the water was still a bit cold there were children enjoying the pool. The picnic area is well taken care of and it was most enjoyable sitting under the huge trees. We had a wonderful time and will most definitely be back. Thank you Joop and Sulita for having us!!!!

Thank you so much for a wonderful campsite and the warm welcome from Jopie and Sulita. Beautiful spotless ablutions and washing up area with piping hot water. Lovely to see fellow campers designing a campsite. Bathrooms are equipped with everything you need. Prices a very affordable and the whole terrain is neat with chalets to stay. There are bush walks which we will definitely explore on our next visit. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Bergkoningkryk is nestled in a beautiful gorge outside of Modimolle. Your friendly hosts and owners are Jopie and Sulita de Kock. Accommodation consists of either chalets, luxury glamping or camping under shade with your own ablutions. All accommodation is self-catering. Love fishing - try out the pond at the recreational area or at Kanongat - catch and release. Lovely swimming pool for those hot summer days and waterslides for the kiddies. For the more adventurous, there are 2 hiking trails with beautiful views of the Waterberg mountains. Not so energetic - take the short walk to Kanongat for fishing or swimming. For your family gatherings there is a beautiful big lapa with an indoor braai for those rainy days. Treat yourself at Lekkerbreek Handelshuis with an icecream or lots of treats for the kiddies.
