Zonnekus Holiday Resort

Would definetly go again, was very calm an quiete. No rubish laying around was spotless clean even by the animals. Bathrooms are always neet and tidy. Swiming pool is very nice , loved the slide. Staff was very friendly and service was amazing. Food and drinks at the resturant and shop was amazing. Bar was very nice and relaxing music with amazing barman and chef. Shop its self was very cute of nature and all staff have very good maners and welcoming. I could see the animals are very well looked after with a lot of love. I love how calm and friendly all the staff were , would most definetly go again. I have a lot of respect for the rules , makes a lot of sense and keeps everything calm , safe and so much better

The place was okay. Cosy, neat and tidy.
The time we went was less people and nice to chill for the day.

The road to the entrance is not welcoming at all, the gravel road looks suspicious and very bumpy.

Then coming at the gate there's no system in place, you first have to park get out and then go pull out of the parking to go inside (according to the very friendly lady at the gate, it's how it works) so the car behind you now have to give way in order for you to go through.
Where the day visits parking is has thick hot loose sand, not great to walk in or drive in.

The toilet pots were yellow/orange but clean and no showers.

Didn't like the aggressive chickens that was roaming freely, very uncomfortable. We chase them along but they come back as if they want to charge you.

The pools were greenish and water was merky. Tiles in and around the pool were chipped or broken. I cut my foot, there was no one (staff or lifeguard to ask for a first aid kit)

When people started getting drunk they started diving on each other and just jumping in all together, they were inconsiderate to other people that were in the pool too. But there was no one (staff or someone of the place) to see or say anything. This is why so many places don't allow alcohol in.

Prices at the shop is very reasonable.

Cosy place but it really needs to be properly maintained and proper management.

My recent stay at Zonnekus Resort was extremely disappointing. The toilets were consistently dirty and poorly maintained, and the water was shut off without any notice. The resort looks nothing like the photos online, and the environment felt neglected. We also experienced rude and discriminatory behaviour from other guests, which made us feel unsafe and unwelcome. The pool was constantly taken over by day visitors, and even when we finally got access, staff threw in chemicals and forced us out. There were no lights by the pool, and the whole setup felt unorganized and unprofessional. Overall, the resort is not maintained properly, and I would not recommend it.

First visit as a day visitor. Nice setting. Peaceful. Would go there again to spend the day. Not far from home either.

I did not sleep over but my daughter said the old water pipes made loud noises. You would also be woken up by cocks crowing which is fine and all of it didn't happen right on your doorstep when you're trying to sleep in. If you like real rustic, then this is the place for you
