ATKV Buffelspoort

Amazing holiday. Friendly staff. And of course die Boere kinders is awesome. We met such beautiful people and had a great time.

The only thing that I would improve is some water spouts in the hot and warm water pools. It will make the world of a difference.

Only complaint if the Rondawel is the bathroom basin is too small so hubby really battled to shave. But it's a very stylish bathroom. I think they just forget to clean out the shower heads because ours was a bit clogged, but still great though.

One thing that I missed was shade at the Rondawel braai area. Some Rondawels has shade from the trees but ours didn't. So remember to take a strand umbrella 🏖️ with you. There is a hole in the picknick table for it.

The stove plates are snappy chef and are amazing. The pots are really good quality. I only cook in AMC classics so I always have to take a pot with me. Well no more... Everything u need is there.

The bathrooms were delightful, and very clean.
Don't worry about cold weather, just enjoy yourself at the heated, indoor pool.
Everyone is very friendly, and nice. Everything looks clean. Just beware of a few monkeys. Each stand has its own water and electricity point, and braai stand. I will give this place 5 stars forever.

We have stayed at ATKV Buffelspoort Resort many times over the years. We’ve experienced the caravan park, the rondavels (including the newer ones), and the Magalies Villas, and we have always enjoyed our stays.
This was the first time we decided to have breakfast at the restaurant, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The restaurant was very busy, but if a busy period is expected, better preparation and service would make a big difference. We waited a long time before anyone assisted us.
We chose the buffet breakfast. The food itself was tasty and well prepared; however, the plates and glasses had a strong smell of eggs, which affected the overall experience. Aside from that, the food was enjoyable.
ATKV Buffelspoort is still a great destination for families and friends, and we will definitely return to stay at the resort. However, we would most likely not eat at the restaurant again.

Camped for two nights with friends.

The campsites are great. Paved areas to pitch your tent which keeps you out of the dirt.

Swimming pools and activities are top notch. Clean and well maintained.

Bar experience unfortunately not great. Bar closes at 7pm on a Saturday. Not sure how that makes sense? The bar was full of people watching rugby but last rounds called halfway through the second half. They clearly don't need the bar revenue.

Fast food at the pool is very poor.

Service is extremely slow.

The quality of the burgers are shocking. The worst hamburger patty ever. I wouldn't give it to my dogs. Why can't they just make a real beef patty instead of some cheap junk full off crap.

The place was great, kids had fun and it was a plus that on days where swimming was not possible due to the weather, they offered other options to entertain the kids. I just was unsatisfied with the cleanliness of our villa during our stay. There were times when our en-suite bathroom was not cleaned and not refurbished with fresh towels. Pots we used were not washed but just left in the sink and one night the kids were playing games in the lounge and it was untidy, following day when we went swimming and came back, all they did was to just wipe the table and push back the couches in place. Beds were just spread without properly spreading the linen.
