We are first-time campers, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to start our camping journey. Erasmus Bushcamp is the perfect camping site for both young and old to enjoy, with private ablution facilities that are kept clean at all times. The kind-hearted management went out of their way to help us and made the experience smooth and personal.
You will fall in love with the scenery, which showcases some of the wildest bush scenes you can imagine, with impala, buffalo, and zebra herds grazing close to the camp fences. It’s tranquil and relaxing, making you feel as if you’re truly on holiday. Enjoy the pool on hot days and the beautiful sunsets, perfect for sundowners. You won’t be disappointed.

Nice quiet campsite in the bush with good bush views. We enjoyed the sunrise and sunsets. The bird life is amazing and the sound of lion vocalizing at night a real treat.
All sites are all well sized and ablutions spotless.
Management are very friendly.
Definitely worth a visit and we plan a trip with family and friends.

We camped here by Desiree and Pieter early January 2025 with our two step children that introduced us to this gem, all I can say is WOW. Erasmus Bush Camp is set perfectly. Desiree is so friendly, and the staff cleaning out the braai always greeted us. The ablution block at our camp site is very clean. As a Professional Photographer the eyes always see things others might not. And I'm pleased so say, I'm very excited to visit and camp there again in April 2025. Booking made already and our children will join us at this beautiful place this time ❤️
Stick with the rules set out by the owners and just relax, there is a reason for rules. Thank you Desiree we can't wait to visit. Definitely recommend Erasmus Bush Camp

Absolutely beautiful camp. The private bathrooms make such a difference to the camp experience. We could leave our toiletries, towels etc. in there, which was so handy. Pool is lovely. Just a walk around the perimetre of the camp is peaceful and relaxing. The bird life is incredible! We didn't bother with game drives, Dinokeng itself has little to offer compared to Pilanesburg and Kruger. It's not worth the self-drive fee. But 90 minutes from home in JHB means that we will be back OFTEN to ground ourselves and chill.
