Afsaal Caravan Park offers the incredible thrill of a Big 5 safari experience with the comfort and convenience of a top-tier campsite. Situated within the magnificent Dinokeng Game Reserve and just a 40-kilometre drive from Pretoria, this is the perfect destination for an accessible yet genuinely wild bushveld getaway. It's a place where you can enjoy a classic family camping trip while listening to the sounds of the African bush.

The campsite is thoughtfully laid out to provide a comfortable and secure experience within its fully fenced perimeter. A selection of stands is available to accommodate different needs, including a couple of dedicated sites for tents only. All stands are equipped with their own power point and water outlet, ensuring a hassle-free setup. The state-of-the-art ablution block is a major highlight, featuring eight individual, private bathrooms for guests to use. This includes a child-friendly bathroom with a bath and a fully equipped paraplegic-friendly facility.

Days at Afsaal are a fantastic blend of relaxation and adventure. You can spend the hottest part of the day at the beautiful swimming pool area, which features a large main pool and a smaller kiddies' pool, all surrounded by soft green grass. The rest of the time can be spent on a self-drive safari through the greater Dinokeng Reserve, searching for lion, elephant, and rhino, before returning to your camp for a braai under the stars.

I stayed there a couple of nights to enjoy the DinoKeng reserve.
This place is a true gem.
the owners are very kind and relaxed people and the facilities are top notch and in a very clean condition!
If u want to relax after a hard day of game-viewing you are at the right place.
Highly recommended!

Visited over New Year, get together in Lapa was organized by owners.
Owners came and greeted us and saw that we had wood and ice, no need to go out to buy.
One of the best camping sites I have visited.
Ablution blocks practical and beautiful, new modern tiles. Cleaned on a regular basis, the swimming pool as well.
Grandchildren enjoyed the playground very much as well as running through the sprinklers and playing in the sand.
Enough trees for shade, safe from big five with code for the gate.
Saw many animals, dirt roads in a good condition.
Will definitely recommend and will visit again.

Excellent camp site.

We stayed for the long weekend and had an excellent trip. Ablutions are private and kept immaculate. Nice big pool and lapa area. Braai is cleaned every day and fire pit, too, which every camp site has. The stone camp site makes a ground sheet unnecessary, so setting up is easier.

The noise from Hammanskraal is not intrusive at all, so don't be put off.

This resort just speaks quality. It starts with the quality of information before you arrive and then it just continues from there. Some of my personal highlights. 1. Pieter's personal attention. 2. Best braais I have ever seen in a resort. 3. The thickest carpet of lawn around the pool ever! 4. Quality family bathrooms. We will definitely be back. See you soon Pieter!

We enjoyed our stay and would most surely come back. The stands are level and green and the ablution block is very clean and beautiful. Even during loadshedding you still have hot water to shower in. A visit you will not regret.
