Where do I even begin? Butterfly Creek Bush Camp and Caravan Park is truly a breathtaking hidden gem. We stayed for five nights in December in the fully self-catering Sunbird caravan, and from the moment we arrived, we were completely captivated by the beauty and tranquillity of the surroundings.

Butterfly Creek Bush Camp is proudly family-owned and family-run, and this truly shows in every aspect of the camp. The scenery is absolutely stunning, with nature all around you, creating a peaceful and relaxing escape from everyday life. The campgrounds are immaculately maintained—neat, tidy, and clearly cared for with great pride. It is evident that the owners go above and beyond, personally ensuring daily clean-ups of both the grounds and the bathroom facilities, which makes a noticeable difference.

Speaking of the bathrooms, they deserve special mention. They are kept to an exceptional standard, comparable to a five-star hotel in terms of cleanliness and neatness.

The atmosphere at the camp is calm and welcoming. Falling asleep to the gentle tinkling of the brook and waking up to the cheerful chirping of birds was an absolute highlight of our stay. For families, there is also a lovely playground for the kids, making it an ideal destination for both relaxation and family-friendly fun.

It is truly a paradise for bird lovers and nature enthusiasts alike. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay and left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I would highly recommend Butterfly Creek Bush Camp to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-maintained, and beautifully run camp surrounded by nature.

Paradise hidden in nature. Everything was just perfect, beautiful campsites hidden in the woods with a creek running right in front of our campsite. Some of the cleanest ablutions we have ever experienced anywhere. The owners were most helpful and it was always enjoyable when we connected for a chat. We will definitely be back.

We had such an amazing time at Butterfly Creek. The caravan had all the basic camping needs and was neat and clean. Loved the grass around our site.
Bathrooms are a bit of a walk, however we enjoyed the walk and nature all around. Kids will enjoy the playground and the river stream. Evenings where peacefull and quite and the view of the stars in the sky was beautifull. If you want to break away from city life and experience nature, this is your spot.

Embark on a mesmerizing journey in this riverside haven within a captivating forest. Our camp by the river allowed for invigorating dips, with the kids exploring the shallows, discovering fish, crabs, and tadpoles.

Experience a complete digital detox in this off-the-grid retreat with no cellphone signal. Be ready for a trek, as the ablution block, water tap, and water supply are about 360 meters uphill. Wise campers bring their portable toilets. Consider future plans, as the owners contemplate bringing facilities closer.

Sheltered by magnificent Bloekom trees, this camp beckons self-sufficient nature enthusiasts. Ideal for well-prepared campers seeking tranquility amid nature's embrace! Note that only 4x4 vehicles and camping trailers can access this enchanting retreat.

Amazing gettaway at Butterfly creek camp, best views between the trees and the kids enjoyed playing in the water. Nothing better than hearing the stream while resting in your tent.
