Lovely weekend in Yzerfontein Caravan park. Love the easy access to the beach. Ablutions conveniently close and clean. Since I had to listen to my neighbour's music all weekend I will agitate for NO Music policy. Not unfair, as there is No Pets policy in place. But we will go back

Very nice camping site with clean shower and toilet facilities. Only most of the camp sites is very sandy with very little grass, so prepare with proper ground sheets when going there. Walk out of the camp right onto a beautiful beach.

We had a wonderful time at the campsite. Kids enjoyed the play area and the space all around the caravan park to ride their bicycles. We were pleasantly surprised to have someone clean our braai area, bins were regularly emptied. Bathrooms and dishwashing area were neat, tidy and easily accessible.

ATTENTION CAR CAMPERS!
Sleeping in your vehicle is NOT allowed at this campsite!

I arrived at the campground and was not let in since I told the receptionist that I am sleeping in the custom camper setup built into the back of my bakkie.

She explained ONLY tents and RVs are permitted, absolutely no vehicle camping.

So if you have a overlanding sleeper setup built into your 4x4 or Bakkie, don't bother coming, they will turn you away. The lady at the reception(who to her credit was very friendly) explained only rooftop tents, RVs, tents or trailer-tent setups are permitted, but absolutely no custom bakkie or 4x4 sleeper builds.

I recently sold my 4x4 with a rooftop tent setup and built a custome sleeper setup in the back of my new bakkie.

I have been coming to this campsite multiple times a year since I was a child, and I love going theree due to the beautiful beach and good privacy between camsites and sheltering from wind. It is a decent campsite (better than any of the ones in the nearby west coast), which makes it even sadder that I cannot take my current setup to this beautiful spot.
