True to its name, which translates to "Our Karoo Farm," this destination offers a wonderfully personal and heartfelt welcome into the heart of the Great Karoo. This is an intimate retreat, a place where you can truly escape the noise and rush of the modern world. The farm offers a rare and sought-after commodity: a true digital detox, as there is no cell phone signal on the property. This allows you to genuinely disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with nature, your loved ones, and yourself in a setting of profound peace and tranquility.

The camping experience is a masterclass in thoughtful design. The spacious sites are a testament to a deep understanding of the Karoo climate, with each one featuring not only a lush grassed section but also a large area covered by shade netting. This incredibly practical touch provides a guaranteed cool oasis during the hot summer months. These superb sites are supported by clean, separate men's and ladies' ablution facilities, where high-pressure gas geysers ensure a wonderfully refreshing and powerful shower.

While the setting is rustic, the farm is a surprising hub of relaxation and recreation. You can cool off in the unique rock pool or the separate plunge pool, or unwind in the evening in the comfortable guest lounge and games room. For those who need to check in, Wi-Fi is available, giving you the choice to be connected on your own terms, however WiFi is not available for downloading and streaming, only suitable for WhatsApp messages not video calls. The farm invites you to explore its natural beauty through bird watching or on a mountain bike. When arriving at our stop Ons Karoo Plaas we were greeted by our hosts ,Anne and Christo who own this gem of a place tailor made for bikers . The place has caravans ready made up for their guest with a very homely pub with very clean ablution blocks . The atmosphere is very awesome and we were joined by four other bikers as well as a few locals.
Anne and Christo are great host and provided breads salads or any extras we needed to add to the meat we took to BBQ . A large fire, music , cold refreshment in this remote place 100/100 . A big thank you to our host

A haven of a place with the most friendly, helpful, and hospitable hosts. We were provided with delicious karoo braai meat and freshly baked bread as well as freshly laid eggs for breakfast from Lucky the chicken who came to greet us in the morning. A truly authentic and special place. Highly recommended.

We camped. The campsite is large and well appointed with grass, shade & 220v.
Ann & Christo are great hosts and the nightly big fire in the lounge was a winner ! The campsite is located in a secluded valley requiring some gravel road driving. However, the road is reasonable and the drive is worth it. We recommend Ons Karoo Plaas !

Wow what a great place. Thanks to Christo & Anne for their warm welcome and hospitality. The braai packs, salad and home bread was delicious. Will definitely be spreading the word to others. We will be back, hopefully can get a few more adventure riders to join us.
