Kam'Bati River Resort

A 3-day weekend stay: peace and quiet in complete safety.
Close to Bontebonk National Park, less than an hour from Cap des Agulhas.
Access is easy.
The bungalow was conveniently located and functional. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Fantastic holiday location for families with lovely pools for hot summer days however, the shaded areas at the pools are limited and, the kids sandpit is in the sun. My toddler burnt blisters on his feet from what was literally 3 seconds on the sand. Definitely recommend having the sandpit and jungle gym under a roof of some sort. Had a great time otherwise!

​We recently stayed at Kam'Bati and had a very relaxing time. The setting on the Breede River is stunning, the facilities are clean, and the staff are wonderful. However, parents traveling with older teenagers (ours are 16 and 19) should be aware that the on-site activities are very much geared toward the 3–13 age group.
​While the slides and putt-putt are a hit for the little ones, my teens found themselves a bit bored as there wasn't much for their age group to do other than relax by the fire or the river. It’s a fantastic spot for young families, but if you have older kids, I'd suggest bringing plenty of their own entertainment or planning day trips into Swellendam. Perhaps putting in a pool table for teens will already be beneficial

A lovely camping spot! Clean ablutions and campsite, with electricity points. We really enjoyed the pool area with slides, as well as the little restaurant selling some basic eats and drinks.

The river is fantastic for swimming and fishing.

Some things to note:
Block A is close to the pool and restaurant area, as well as ablution blocks. Well covered in grass.

Block B is right next to the river, perfect for fishing right from your site. Some sand and grass. Quite a walk from any ablutions.

Block C is furthest from the pool and restaurant area, but still easy walking distance. Block C has ablution facilities and green grass.

I want to specifically mention Peter. He's a great guy, and seems like he never stops moving, even for a minute, to make sure everything runs smoothly and that everyone is happy.

It would be great if they could improve their digital map they send out when booking, so that the layout and site nrs can clearly be seen.

Wonderful resort with fantastic amenities to keep the little ones busy. The pools are a gathering place during the day as it can get hot midday. We also found it convenient to walk around the campsite and grounds which are well kept, have Geese and other animals as entertainment.
