Island Lake Holiday Resort

Island Lake Holiday Resort offers the rare opportunity to camp directly on the water's edge within the beautiful boundaries of the Wilderness National Park. Waking up to glorious views of the tranquil lake, with the sound of birdlife all around, is what makes a stay here so special. This is a destination for those who love water-based activities and want a holiday where the main attraction is right on their doorstep.

The resort features 55 campsites, all of which are well-grassed, level, and enjoy welcome shade. Each spacious site is equipped with a 20-amp electrical point, and drinking water taps are conveniently close by. Guests are asked to bring their own portable braai and grid for cooking. A major highlight for many is that most sites offer direct views of the lake, with the boat launching facilities often visible right from your camp chair, making it incredibly easy to get your canoe, ski-boat, or paddleboard onto the water.

Life here revolves around the lake. It’s a natural playground for boating, water skiing, and fishing, while the calm shores are perfect for swimming or simply relaxing. A kids' playground keeps the little ones busy when they’re not in the water. Being in the heart of the Garden Route, you’re also perfectly positioned to explore. The famous Wilderness beaches, local shops, and restaurants are just a short drive away, as are attractions like hiking trails and animal sanctuaries.
