The camping experience at Areena is designed to be as spacious and comfortable as possible. The generously sized sites are a true luxury, giving you plenty of room to spread out and create your own private holiday haven. With more than half of the sites located directly on the riverbank, you have an excellent chance to secure a prime spot with an uninterrupted view. You can also choose your perfect base, whether you prefer a soft, lush grass site under the shade of mature trees, or the all-weather convenience of a perfectly level cement slab.

Every detail is considered to ensure a hassle-free and enjoyable stay. Each site is a self-contained hub of convenience, equipped with a powerful 15 to 20-amp electrical outlet (using a standard three-pin plug) and a private braai stand, complete with a grid. The entire park is serviced by numerous, sparkling clean communal ablution blocks with reliable hot water, all of which are maintained daily to the highest standards. It is this masterful combination of a spectacular setting, spacious sites, and high-quality amenities that makes Areena a truly premier family resort.

Great place to spend time with family and friends, the en suite double rooms is so amazing! It's better than many hotel rooms we've stayed in! Great quality bedding with all the amenities that you might need, the kitchen is also well equipped, if you want to cook your own meals you will not be missing anything!! The property has a lovely pool( with a very strict, but kind caretaker 😉) and a restaurant, we had their delicious pizzas and everyone loved it!
Cant wait to visit again!!!

Nestled right in nature. What sets this Areena campsite apart is its unwavering commitment to giving their campers the best time at the best price. The fact that you can camp with your 4 legged fur babies makes the experience unforgettable. Now you start counting the birds, fluffy little rabbits and the rest of the animals you will find yourself in paradise. With a river and mountains that looks like you are in Vietnam you will wonder in what country you are... don’t let the campground cheat you with its beauty, you will wonder if you walked into a small Switzerland village.
The staff is the BEST, form the Owner to the young, good looking office girls and each worker that is involved there. Friendliness and eagerness to assist with a big smile and the humour with their jokes, unbelievable. The ablutions was perfectly cleaned and moped every single day. Never ran out of toilet paper or hand soap.
Oh, if you are a pensioner you are in for a treat. Free pensioners lunch with sandwiches, pudding, cake and coffee once a week. Special rates at their restaurant, what more must they do to treat you like royalty. We planned and booked for 3 months camping, we cancelled another appointment and stayed a month longer. The best long-term camping price in the whole South Africa.

Had the most amazing time at this resort. Extremely well managed with super friendly staff and with so much on offer for all to partake in,from Quad bikes to fishing,hikes,Giraffe encounters,paintball,zip lines,game drives ,boat cruises,dining and the of course the most amazing views as well as being surrounded by pure nature.

Good service, multiple options of activities available, good game animals for viewing, nice courteous staff. Not 5 as SA flag is old and ripped, and has shreds as compared to others. Hope they take of this. Food is lovely and nicely priced

Well maintained. Great food. Friendly people. But poorly coordinated. Restaurant made it impossible to make our booking for activities although we left an hour to do so. Asked for latitude but landed up waiting an extra hour. Through no fault of ours. Each individual event great but the blaming each other and poor efficiency messed up the day.
