Luxury views, close encounters with wild life, amazing food and drinks, all for an affordable price. Went for my boyfriend's birthday with family and it was great. Took their private picnic date where it's just you in the wild with a meal. The game drive gave us a close encounter with elephants unexpectedly (thank you Biggy for making sure we got out alive). Many animals had babies which was cute. Some staying areas are quite far from everything so make sure you're situated where you'd like to be. Our place of stay was so far out we got a visit from Buffaloes and elephants, as well as other cuties. Definitely a great place to break away. Feel exclusive with local prices. Will go back in the future.

We had an amazing holiday at Mabalingwe Game Reserve, specifically at Tadima and Cliffhanger Lodge. The service at the lodge was out of this world and the highlight of the place being the chef’s. The game drive teams are amazing, attentive and well informed and very professional. Sadly the “horse riding staff” within the Game Reserve is RUDE and lack customer service spirit. This is from the front desk- horse riding coordinator to the guys who actually deal with the horses and monitor the rides. Very RUDE, they would pass comments about physical appearance (weight) etc. especially when on their invoice and terms- this isn’t clearly stated or is stated in fine print. They will make you pre-pay for the ride only to tell you on the day that you are “too fat” and can’t ride a horse. Worse if you are late- they will not even accommodate you. Your prepaid funds will be forfeited in the mix of some vial comments. Honestly you should not be providing such a service if you lack tact and ability to speak politely.

What a beautiful bushveld experience. The hospitality shown was unmatched. Friendly and ever helpful staff. The professionalism and attention to our individual needs was truly appreciated. I will most definately return to Mabalingwe Game Reserve. Highly recommend for functions, events or even just a little break from city life, and only just over an hours drive from Pretoria.

We camped at Mabilingwe for a week and on the first day we saw rhino's and it was absolutely amazing there bathrooms are very clean they have staff coming in during the day cleaning and they are very nice and friendly, I love there shop it has everything you need and the shop is in the camp site , there restaurant near by the dam is very nice the food there is very nice and the view is amazing, in the camping site the wildlife literally walks past you in the camping area, in my opinion I would love to go again because there is so much to do swim padel, eating at the restaurant and so much more
