Zero Stars - Utterly Disgusting Experience*

This place is an absolute nightmare. The staff, who claimed to be managers but they were actually cleaners.., were clueless and unhelpful. They seemed more like cleaners than anyone in charge.

The Fisherman's Cabin was a disaster. No concrete walls, freezing cold air seeping in, and a thin blanket that was basically useless. And to think I paid R800 for a four-sleeper. The lack of electricity was the final insult.

What's even more ridiculous is that a better option was available for just R50 less. A four-sleeper with concrete walls and electricity. But no, we were given the worst option without any explanation.

When I spoke to the actual manager, they confirmed that a better option was available, but we were never offered it. It's clear that the staff was incompetent and didn't care about our experience.

*Avoid this place like the plague.* The service was terrible, and the accommodations were substandard. Don't waste your money.

We just came back from spending a relaxing week at Tugela Mouth Resort. The campsite is well maintained, pools were kept klean ablutions were spotless being cleaned night and day.. fishing was good and a stunning swimming beach about 15min away, if you want to get away from the rat race and have a relaxing time I would give them a call !! Thank you to JD, Tessa and the friendly staff, see you soon!!

We decided at the last minute to book into Tugela Mouth Resort. And the owners were so accommodating. The kids were so happy to get away from the house as we had just put our beloved dog down on Christmas day. My Husband said that it was the best thing for the boys, as they could swim and ride their bicycles and feel safe. We loved the big campsite and the toilets were always clean and even had 2ply toilet paper and free Wi-Fi. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We have been there many times and always enjoyed ourselves. Just to spend time with the family away from the hassle of City life. The kids didn’t even want to play on their cell phones, because they swam and made new friends by the pool. That’s what a holiday is all about- It’s not about the Parents but about the kids.
