Scottburgh Caravan Park

We have been to the caravan park annually for the last four years, most times we are situated by block 1 or 2 or 3 ablutions. Although busy generally clean. This year we had the not so nice privilege to have to use block 4 ablutions as block 5 is in maintenance (no signage just destruction greeting you as you enter).

Well let me be honest block 4 is disgusting, yes the floors are washed probably morning noon and then evenings but when you have on more times than you can count had to flush toilets as the toilets are left dirty, the one toilet had been running with water for the last seven days. My partner had on more than one occasion stated that the men's ablutions were filthy with toilet paper balls everywhere and stuff left on the top of the walls. Honestly, it seemed because this is where young families go, that it acceptable for it to be dirty. The showers constantly were blocked because of large clumps of hair or something blocking the shower drains. Just in case someone says but multiple woman use the ablutions and therefore not always possible to avoid this, the shower heads had mould in them, the spot to place your bathroom items had mould growing on them, the taps were dirty.

Bathrooms or ablutions are integral in the camping experience and honestly my experience was just gross. Cleaning needs to be on all levels not only the most important such as floors, basins, mirrors and toilet bowl.

The caravan park also just needs a bit of a touch up, a little paint, roads improved. Especially since the prices have increased just seems that the park has become a little delapedated.

Overall very nice place we will definitely be back.

Nice place for a short stay. We stayed a week out of season. Close enough to main beach to walk. Ablutions very clean and well attended. Very windy in November but probably to be expected. Generally a well maintained park.
Biggest plus....pet friendly.

Very friendly staff, the helped us chose a less windy site, and the caravan was settled in a jiffy thanks to the crew that helped!! Awesome view and good clean beaches in front of the park. Not much to say about the public beach.

We were at Scottburgh for a week in November and it was amazing the view of the sea is outstanding you literally have the beach in front of you, I love there restaurant and there shop there food is amazing they have a little play ground for children to play next to the restaurant , and behind the bathrooms there is a room with a pool table, table tennis and more for teenagers, there bathrooms are so clean and the staff there is so friendly and sweet, and the stand are big, but I would recommend bring strong storm net and straps for your caravan because the storms there is no joke
