Lake Eland Game Reserve

Value for money, rooms were absolutely clean, many activities to do, the Zipline being theee best. Excellent service from the staff at reception to the staff at the restaurant (very reasonably priced menu) as well as the tour guides. Only issue is the network but other than that, I would recommend anyone and everyone to visit lake eland

We had an absolutely incredible weekend at Lake Eland Game Reserve! We stayed in the Dam View Cabin and the views were breathtaking.

The restaurant exceeded all expectations with outstanding quality food, and every meal was a treat. The zipline was definitely my favourite activity , such an adrenaline rush with amazing scenery! I also loved the suspension bridge and exploring Hell’s Gate Caves, which added a real sense of adventure to the trip.

The game drive was another highlight. We saw so many animals. Whether you’re looking to relax and unwind or experience something adventurous, this is the perfect destination.

Highly recommended — we can’t wait to come back!

Lake Eland is one of the gems of the South Coast. It is only 38 km from Port Shepstone, but it feels as if you are in a completely different part of the country. I always joke and say that when those of us who live by the sea get tired of looking at the ocean (as if that’s even possible), we drive there and look at the cliffs instead.

Lake Eland offers a variety of activities and has different types of accommodation and campsites. We stayed in the Kraal.

Our adventure package included everything: accommodation, meals, drinks, and activities. The staff went out of their way to make it special and beautiful. At one point I even asked my husband if we were in the right group, because it felt like a honeymoon. The staff treated us as if we were the most special guests ever. Everything was beautifully set up, they were helpful, and always ready to assist.

We really enjoyed the peace and the natural beauty. The highlight was, of course, the zipline. It was absolutely amazing!

Had overseas guests who wanted to zipline. Fantastic staff at reception and at the zipline, restaurant food was delicious too. However all the happiness was dampened by the 4km dirt road needed to access Lake Eland. I don't know who is responsible for the grading, but they are clearly not doing their job,dirt roads are fine but that corrugated surface was most unpleasant . please take care of it. Thanks

Absolutely wonderful experience. The food at the restruant was utterly amazing and the seevice was wonderful. The game reserve itself was also nice to drive through ww stopped at some ruins and i got to take a cool picture. The wildlife was also very nice to see. The suspension bridge although i do not like suspension bridges i felt quite safe and was able to cross twice safely. 10/10 experience would go again.
