As a group of 5 friends across 2 vehicles we booked a camping site (hence no rating on rooms) for the weekend,14th-16th November, initial contact was via email to Vicky and Barbara who were most helpful! On the day of check in, Vicky advised us of the stop go roadworks taking place on the Worcester - Robertson road and also supplied an alternative route to avoid it! We got campsite 16 which came with a braai drum welded to a wheelbarrow frame, tap, and shade structure, had an ablution block of 4x shower - toilet -basin combos mere meters away.
Check in was pleasant and quick, handed in paperwork, directed to campsite and informed of honesty hut with ice, water and wood available. later the evening Barbara made her rounds of the campsite asking if we were settled in and if we needed anything, a pleasant touch!
Ablutions were clean and cleaned regularly throughout the day, with all the campers observing the establishment rules around noise, a pleasant weekend was had by all, bonus, getting to watch the Springboks annihilate Italy with 14men while at camp!!!! (vodacom gave us a better connectivity experience vs mtn for the game )
After dark, as soon as the last remnants of twilight faded, the sky transformed into a massive, inky-black canvas absolutely dusted with stars. The Milky Way was clearly visible—a spectacular, hazy ribbon stretching across the dark. You could easily spend hours just picking out constellations and marveling at the sheer density of the celestial view. A unique bonus was how quickly and frequently we spotted satellites! We saw several bright ones steadily tracing silent paths across the sky, was mesmerizing to watch them glide across the field of view!
Will definitely be back again!
