Perfect place to stay if you are visiting Sodwana and want to camp. Shaded camping under trees. Not far from shops or Sodwana Bay National Park. Great amenities that are very clean, tidy and in working order. You can buy wood, ice and water which is great. Will definitely visit again!

We had a great December trip down.
The host was extremely kind and friendly and made sure that we were sorted with all we needed during our stay.

We stayed in the Marlin Flat which is a 4 bedroom (2 single beds and 1 double bed) unit. It has a TV, aircon, and a shower (no bath). The whole site does have a generator which is run at certain times (cut off sometime during the night usually as fuel is expensive) during load shedding. The unit itself is tucked away from the other unit and camping ground making it nice and secluded for extra privacy. It is also fenced in within the entire property's fence.
The pool is nice and clean and very refreshing to use.

Definitely recommend this for a family, probably better with smaller kids as the living space is small. My advice is keep it clean and tidy from day one. It can become a little bit crowded with 4 adults but that depends on the people.

The resort was extremely basic, no wifi, no security, provided with a small bathroom with hardly any hot water, no communication regarding when there will be power, there was no customer interaction. This resort was in a rural area, filled with theft. We, as well as other camping members experienced theft. We had someone try and rob us the first night, luckily the car’s alarm went off, and then the second night someone had shun a telephone light into our car looking for something to steal. The other campers phone got stolen by the thieves climbing into their caravan, but oddly enough none of the equipment or tools were stolen from the premises, making us wonder if it wasn’t an inside job. Either way we felt extremely unsafe in the whole of Sodwana area and would not recommend going to sodwana.
I am writing this review with the intention of possibly saving the next family, no one knows if the thieves have weapons on them.

❗❗❗The best campsite I've ever stayed at ❗❗❗

We stayed here during Cyclone Eloise and rode out the storm in our tent, the power went off cos of the storm but there were generators that kicked in immediately.

The kitchen came with a fridge, drying rack and 2 sinks and the bathroom had a shower and toilet as well as tables and hooks to hang your things up.

The hosts were so welcoming, and hospitable, checked on us during the storm and after, did our laundry and let us use their wifi✨

The entire campsite feels like a jungle paradise, and the pool is the perfect place to cool down in the hot weather.

We loved it so much we stayed another 3 nights and didn't want to leave! 🙈
