The area is so beautiful, the lagoon, the views, the sunset, AMAZING. The serenity and peace you feel here is phenomenal. HOWEVER,
1. The lady at the reception was extremely rude. I went to enquire about the pedal boats who wasn’t at the station for some time, and as soon as I entered I greeted and she just barked “We’re closed!” I then said “yes, I just wanted to know…” and she cut me off saying very rudely “I’ve cashed up already, what do you want?” I am an adult and for someone to be speaking to me like that made me feel so uncomfortable, and I had to bite my tongue since she is an older lady. I’ve paid to be there, I’m not a beggar, there’s a certain manner in which you address people, and that’s not it. I felt extremely bad afterwards.

2. We paid online for a picnic spot and when we came to the entrance, the security told us we had to pay R50 extra. We understand the rates, but why not include everything in the online payment?

The top of the range chalets are nice as is the picnic spots along the river edge. It can be crowded on long weekends ,new year and Christmas. Booking essential. For fishing it's great good local spot and decent place to stay for fishing overnight and have that rest place hot shower and bed after long days fishing.

Please make it no boombox at day visiting sites. We left early because the noises was to much for us sitting in between 2 families each with a boombox playing there music so loud that none of us could hear each other in a conversation even the security told the to put it down not long it pumping again loud

Booked a last minute picnic spot and had a wonderful, peaceful day in the sun. The picnic area was clean and well equipped. Unfortunately the paddle boat rentals were not open during the week and we wouldve loved to take a paddle down the river. Been 20 years since I was last here but still a great place for a day of picnic and swimming. The resort is well looked after.
