This wonderful, sheltered space comes complete with a sink, a water tap, lighting, and a 220V plug point, creating a self-contained hub that eliminates the need for communal facilities. This level of personal convenience is further enhanced by the inclusion of a private braai fireplace at each site, allowing you to enjoy a classic campfire experience in your own exclusive space. The camp offers a variety of site sizes, making it perfectly suited to accommodate everyone from solo travelers to small and larger groups. Fiddlers Creek campsite offers a genuine oasis on the banks of the mighty Orange River, providing a welcome splash of green in the rugged Northern Cape landscape. Its strategic location makes it an ideal stopover for travellers journeying between South Africa and Namibia, a place where you can properly rest and recharge, swapping the long, dusty roads for the cool tranquility of the riverfront. The campsite perfectly balances a rustic bush camp atmosphere with the comfort of modern facilities. With a limited number of grassed campsites spread along 200 metres of private river frontage, the experience is intimate and uncrowded. This allows you to truly soak up the natural beauty and serenity of the location. These spacious sites are serviced by two clean and well-maintained shared ablution blocks, ensuring a reliable hot shower is always available after a day of adventure. The Orange River is the camp's natural playground. It's perfect for a refreshing swim on a hot day, a leisurely paddle in a canoe, or for anglers hoping to catch the famous largemouth yellowfish. As evening settles, the lack of light pollution reveals a spectacular canopy of stars, best enjoyed from the warmth of a campfire. The Growcery offers private Vioolsdrift campsites with a river view. It has trees with plenty of shade and a green blanket of grass. Each camp has a kitchen with waste bins, washbasins, a BBQ area, and electricity. There are also two large open campsites at the Growcery Camp. These camps are suitable for caravans and people that travel in heavy vehicles due to the layout of our campsite. The Caravan Campsites are well-positioned and have a standard washing basin and BBQ facility. These camps have trees and grassy grounds. The campsites are near the ablution facilities and the showers. All our camps have recycled waste bins, and we would appreciate it if you could select the correct waste bin for our recycling project. Our travelers and campers need to check in on arrival with their confirmation vouchers. You will receive an organic bucket after checking in at the Growcery. It would be highly appreciated if you can return this natural bucket daily to the reception. The organic materials helped with our compost project at camp. We do offer freshly cooked meals daily. We recommend that you book your dinner before noon. All our meals are freshly prepared, and we need preparation time to provide a healthy fresh meal. The Growcery delivers various adventure activities, and you are welcome to select your adventures at the reception. There are daily excursions, and make sure not to miss these great adventures from the camp. We have a designated fishing area. However, all fishing is on a tag-and-release basis. We don't allow using live caught fish as bait. The largemouth yellowfish have declining numbers, and we would like to keep them from dropping even more. We do welcome all visitors at the Growcery.
