Angels Valley Nature Lodge

My brother and I spent Easter weekend at Angels Valley's Paradise Tented Camp. Having travelled extensively in South Africa, the rest of Africa, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Caribbean, we can confidently say that this is one of the most beautiful places we have visited. Paradise Tented Camp is immaculate and offers every necessary amenity. Booking was seamless, and client communication was excellent. Though close to Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Witbank, Angels Valley is truly off the beaten track. While not strictly necessary, I recommend a 4x4 for the drive. The setting offers unparalleled tranquillity and serenity. At night, the sky is blanketed with stars, and the night sounds are orchestral. The birdlife is spectacular; we even saw Verreaux's eagles. Angels Valley showcases untouched nature at its best, so one has to watch one's step and keep an eye out for snakes. Highly recommended.

Angels Valley Nature Lodge is a peaceful and beautiful getaway, perfect for anyone looking to relax and reconnect with nature. The surroundings are scenic and well-maintained, offering a calm atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease.
The accommodation is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up to blend with the natural environment. The lodge feels private and quiet, making it ideal for couples, families, or anyone needing a break from the city.

Great location. One thing that distracts from the wonderful facilities and location is the unnecessarily harsh tone from the owners from the day one enquires. The continuous threat of fines ranging from R100 to R5000 makes one feel unwelcome and policed. Although I get that one needs to prevent unwanted behaviour your approach borders on the insane.

We fished in multiple spots but my favorite is the well hidden spots, hiked all around, we have been there twice this far and both times have really been amazing. Super relaxed and you feel like you are one with Nature.

You definitely do need your high rise/4x4 to get there but its a mini adventure which is also fun.

Words can not describe the tranquillity of Angels Valley.
If its remoteness, peace and quiet you are after, then Angels Valley will not disappoint.
Though we stayed in the heart of winter and morning temp being below zero, we made good use of snuggling to our fire pit at night.
Ablutions are well taken care of and served its purpose, although a little walk from the campsite, I got the thumbs up from the ladies in my family.
There’s not much to do, we did some exploring in the mornings to get the blood warmed upped and during the day tried to fish with no success.
If you are off grid capable with an off road vehicle and looking to just recharge then Angels Valley is a definite must.
