Five-star camping! Clean, neat, and exceptionally well maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

We were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful extras — a cleaned braai grid, firelighter, matches, and even braaibroodjies provided in the house. Such attention to detail truly sets this place apart.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Oranjerus Resort and will gladly return.

Our stay at Oranje Rus was honestly so special. The views over the Orange River are absolutely breathtaking, the kind that makes you stop, breathe, and just feel grateful to be there.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with the warmest hospitality. Check-in was one of the best we’ve ever had, the gentleman at the reception/gate actually sang a welcome song for us, with the biggest smile, like he was greeting old friends. It was such a sweet, unexpected moment and it instantly made us feel at home.
The reception team was friendly, helpful, and made everything feel easy and relaxed.
Breakfast was also fantastic, fresh, delicious, and the perfect start to the day with that beautiful river view.
We left feeling happy, rested, and already wanting to come back. Oranje Rus is a little gem

We camped on campsite 30 it was spacious and well kept with private bathroom. Only issue was the ants they were all over. Many hitched a ride back to CPT in the Caravan. Pest Control needed they can be a pest.

Oranjerus River Resort, situated on the tranquil banks of the Orange River approximately 25 kilometres from Upington, is undoubtedly a hidden gem in the Northern Cape.

Although I did not stay overnight, my visit to the property revealed a breathtakingly beautiful setting, characterised by lush green lawns, mature trees providing ample shade, and stunning vistas across the flowing river.

The grounds are beautifully maintained ands offers a peaceful oasis ideal for relaxation. The sundowner deck and riverside areas invite visitors to unwind amidst the natural splendour, while facilities such as swimming pools and well-positioned braai areas enhance the experience.

Particularly noteworthy was the exceptional service provided by the staff, who were friendly, attentive, and professional, addressing all enquiries with efficiency and warmth. This level of hospitality contributes significantly to the resort's welcoming atmosphere.

Oranjerus River Resort stands out as a picturesque retreat, perfect for those seeking tranquillity away from bustling urban centres. I highly recommend it to travellers exploring the region, whether for a brief visit or an extended stay. It truly exemplifies understated elegance in a magnificent and truly beautiful natural environment.

Stunning place with the most friendly staff. We especially enjoyed the welcoming of the gate keeper, very uplifting and welcoming.
The venue itself is very neat and nicely situated next to the river with great view. There is lounge area where you can sit back and relax enjoying the view. The place is very good equipped for either staying in room or camping! Would not be disappointed!
