Description
Camping Vischgat offers a serene and unhurried riverside sanctuary set along a private 170-meter stretch of the Vaal River. Located near Three Rivers, this destination is a premier choice for avid anglers and families seeking a quiet retreat in the southern Gauteng region. The park is characterised by its wide-open river views and a peaceful atmosphere that encourages guests to slow down and enjoy the natural beauty of the water.

The camping area features a variety of stands situated on seasonal grass, catering to different setups including caravans, motorhomes, and tents. Many of the sites are positioned directly on the waterfront, providing easy access for those looking to cast a line. Most sites are equipped with an electrical power point and have access to fresh borehole water. While some stands benefit from the shade of mature trees, others are more open, so bringing a 35-meter extension cord and a ground net is highly recommended. Each site has nearby access to shared braai facilities, making it easy to enjoy traditional outdoor cooking as the sun sets over the river.

The resort's facilities include meticulously maintained communal ablution blocks with hot water, showers, and flushing toilets. A dedicated scullery area is available for washing dishes, and for younger guests, the property features a volleyball court, a trampoline, and a children's play area. The river is the main attraction, offering excellent fishing for species like Yellowfish, Carp, and Bass, as well as opportunities for canoeing and kayaking. With its pet-friendly policy and secure, locked grounds, the park provides a grounded and authentic riverside experience.
